Bob's impressions: This little stove is a powerhouse. It boils two or three cups of water very quickly (I can't really be bothered to sit around and time a stove). To be clear, though, this is pretty much all we've done with it - boil water. For that reason I cannot speak to issues of hot spots due to the small burner size, but I've always felt that if you're not paying enough attention to your food to move the pot, or its contents, around you probably shouldn't be lighting a stove.

The stove folds up very small, and seems quite sturdy. I leave the case behind and just put it in my pot with the fuel. Now that I think about it, though, it would probably be smart for me to stuff a bandana or something in there so it doesn't rustle around and possibly break, or chip my pot coating.

The piezo igniter seemed like a good idea at first, but since it quit working after the second time I used it, I no longer bother to carry it.

Laura's impressions: For how tiny and light this little stove is it provides good stability. I haven't had any trouble balancing pots on the extended arms, which, by the way, fold up neatly and seem to be fairly durable so far. It boils water quickly and the flame adjustment appears to have a nice range (though I haven't done much simmering).

I like this stove a lot. It just feels solid and sturdy, in spite of its small size.
