San Bernardino NF Photos & Video

It's not much of a stretch to think of the environs of the San Bernardino National Forest as a little bit of the Sierra that can be found relatively close to the major population centers of southern California. Up above five thousand feet you start to see the pines and rocks and views that can make you feel like you're a couple hundred miles north. No, it's not Ansel Adams Wilderness, or the White Mountains, but on both sides of Interstate 10 you can find some beautiful and fairly unspoiled (though there may not be much hope for the San Bernardino Flying Squirrel at this point) swaths of montane country. This means the photographic and video opportunities are many. Of course, the proximity to lots of people also means you may have to work to find shots and views that haven't already been captured many times.
