Canyonlands Photos & Video

Deep canyons, beautiful high desert scenery, winding rivers, soaring towers, and amazing monolithic shapes. These are all phrases that delight the anticipation of an outdoor photographer. But color much of it in hues of red, orange and brown, and you've got landscapes that demand your focus - literal and figurative - in all directions. Canyonlands National Park offers a palette to expand the horizons of image-makers, those who digitize their memories as well as those who dabble in pencil or brush. The park is huge (one of its districts - The Maze - cannot be accessed by paved road) and full of visual surprises. And those surprises don't end with the dying light: Canyonlands is a certified IDA Night Sky Park.
