Nojoqui Falls (P.O.I.)

Trip Date: 3/11/2017

Location: Nojoqui Falls Park

Permit/Pass: None

Trails: NA

Directions: From Santa Barbara, drive up-coast (west) some 30 miles on Highway 101. After the road takes a big jog to the north it passes a rest stop and travels through a tunnel. Just over five miles past the tunnel there will be a sign for Nojoqui Falls Park at a turn-off (not actually an exit) onto Old Coast Highway. Turn right and follow the road a mile south, then turn left onto Alisal Rd. and drive another three-quarters of a mile to the signed right turn into Nojoqui Falls Park. Continue on the main road all the way up to the dirt parking area for the Falls trail. The trailhead is at the south (upper) end of the lot.

Synopsis: An enjoyable gradual uphill stroll in the shade. It can be found in a quaint little local park in the middle of nowhere in Santa Barbara County. If you're en route on CA Highway 101 and want a sweet spot for a break or to take some lunch this is a fun little out of the way place.
