Crystal Cove State Park is a backcountry wilderness park, and a coastal bluffs and beach park, as well as an historic preservation park. There are endless opportunities for great pictures and video - provided you wait for people to pass or go on a weekday. Okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration, but the park does get crowded. And for good reason - the beach is spectacular, the historic cottages area is colorful and picturesque (and the resident Beachcomber restaurant is pretty good), and if you go after the rainy season the wildflowers can be quite nice. Also, if you're willing to do a bit of climbing and catch a clear, breezy day, you'll have views to the offshore islands, the northern mountains, the eastern peaks of San Gorgonio and San Jacinto, and south to hilltops in Mexico (if it's really clear).
